How to use records in a process form

You can use data from one record to feed a selection field (also called a “combobox”) in a process form or even in another record’s edit form.

  1. Access the form editor.
  2. Click the “+” icon.
  3. In the Properties dialog box, click the “New” button.
  4. In the New Property dialog box, enter a name and select the “Records” type.
  5. In the “Related Type” field, select the record containing the elements that will be displayed to the user.
  6. Confirm the new property dialog and exit the form editor.

 

Once the field has been created, it is no longer possible to modify the record linked to the field. If changes are needed, access the edit field screen and click the “Archive” button, then create a new field following the steps seen previously.
