Create a documentation template

Follow these steps to create and modify your custom templates:

  1. Go to the Process editor

  2. Access “Diagrams”
    Click on the “Visualization Mode” button, then select the “Diagrams” option.

  3. Open the “Documentation Templates” Tab
    Go to the “Documentation Templates” tab where you will find all the existing templates in your environment.

  4. Create a New Documentation Template
    Click on the “+” icon to add a new template.

    In the “General” tab, give your template a name and choose a theme from the two pre-configured options.

    You can also customize the template colors and set it as the default template for document exportation for users accessing it through the portal.

  5. Customize the Footer
    In the “Customization” tab, you have the option to add text and dynamic elements to the footer, such as the process name, pagination, etc. To do this, use “:” followed by the information you wish to display.

  6. Manage Field Display
    In the “Fields” tab, you can limit the display of custom information for the process or tasks. If a field is not selected here, it will not appear in the template, even if visibility for the portal is enabled in the form.   7. Save and Manage the Template
    Once your configuration is complete, click “Save” to validate the creation of your template.

    It will then appear in the list of existing templates, and you can edit it by clicking the pencil icon next to it.

  8. Use the Template During Export
    You can now use this template when exporting the documentation for a process from the process editor.



  9. Create a Template Directly from the Export Screen
    It is also possible to create a new documentation template directly from the documentation export screen.
