It can be interesting to choose the person who will be responsible for the next task, when this one is intended to be under the responsibility of a list of people. In this article we will see how to perform this configuration.
We will take the example of the following process:
We want the requester’s manager to choose the “Collect quotes” task manager when approving the request.
We can configure this if and only if the participant type definition of the “Purchasers” participant is:
- People and groups: the definition must then be a composition of persons. The feature is not available for groups created or departments selected in this type of definition.
- Filter on people.
If you leave the configuration like this, HEFLO will then randomly choose one of the people who make up the participant definition.
You can also direct the system to automatically choose one of these people based on specific rules. To know more: Automatic performer selection.
Follow the steps below if you want to be able to directly choose the person responsible for the task among the people who make up the participant definition:
- Select the relevant task.
- Go to the “properties”, then to the “execution” part.
- Activate the “Confirm Responsibility” option.
From then on, when performing any work item of this process, the “Approve Request” task responsible will be able to choose the “Collect Quotes” task responsible from the people who make up the definition of participants.
