An intermediate boundary event triggers an exception flow on the business process. You can attach this element on a task using the following steps:

1. On the canvas of the process editor, select a task.
2. Click on the Chain icon on the task.
3. On the type selector, choose the kind of event you want to attach to the task.

It’s possible to add multiple events to a single task. There is no limitation on it.
